Classic American Banana Bread (USA)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 bananas)
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, then stir in mashed bananas.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until combined.
Fold in walnuts if using.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool before slicing and serving.
