Japanese Katsu Steak (Japan)
Ingredients:
4 beef cutlets
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
Tonkatsu sauce for serving
Instructions:
Pound beef cutlets to ¼-inch thickness.
Season with salt and pepper.
Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (177°C).
Fry cutlets for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy.
Drain on paper towels and serve with tonkatsu sauce.
