Korean Spicy Calamari Soup (South Korea)
Servings: 4 Ingredients:
1 lb calamari, cleaned and sliced
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tbsp soy sauce
4 cups seafood broth
1 cup napa cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp ginger, grated
Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
Stir in gochujang and soy sauce, cook for 1 minute.
Add broth, cabbage, and mushrooms. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and add calamari. Simmer for 10 minutes until tender.
Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
