Lion’s Head Meatball Soup (China)
A flavorful broth with large, tender meatballs.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp ginger, minced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp white pepper
6 cups chicken broth
1 cup Napa cabbage, chopped
1 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions:
Mix ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, ginger, salt, and pepper. Form large meatballs.
Heat sesame oil in a pot, add broth, and bring to a boil.
Add meatballs and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in Napa cabbage and cook for 5 more minutes.
Serve hot.
