Nasi Goreng (Indonesia)
A flavorful Indonesian fried rice dish with sweet soy sauce and shrimp.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
1 teaspoon chili paste
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 fried egg (for topping)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
Heat oil in a wok and sauté onions, garlic, and carrots.
Add shrimp and cook until pink.
Stir in rice, soy sauce, and chili paste.
Fry until well combined.
Top with a fried egg and green onions.
